Bella Sera Chianti
100% Sangiovese grape
Chianti, Italy
2012
$8.54

Winery review: "Made with 100% Sangiovese grapes from Italy's famed Chianti region, this wine has inviting flavors of fresh red cherry and spice. Pair with pork pizza or spicy tomato sauce."

My review: This wine had a very deep red color. On the nose, the cherry and pepper/spices were very apparent. I also smelled some black currant and other dark fruit along with a licorice smell. It was a very full bodied wine with a strong acidic finish. I probably should have let this wine decant before drinking it.

This wine was not tasted with food.
